The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled GCSE English Teacher to join our dedicated Foundation Learning team. As our GCSE English Teacher, you will play a key role in teaching GCSE English, empowering our students to unlock their full potential and achieve their academic goals.
You’ll deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for our GCSE English students. You will plan and implement engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring that all our students feel included and supported in their learning. By using innovative teaching strategies, you will motivate and inspire our students, creating a positive and dynamic classroom environment.
You will assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals. Preparing students for their GCSE exams will be a key focus, equipping them with strong literacy skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective exam techniques. Your contribution to curriculum development and the enhancement of teaching resources will help ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of the subject.
Collaboration will be an important aspect of the role, as you will work closely with colleagues in the Direct Entry department to support student progression.
You will also take part in departmental and college-wide initiatives aimed at improving student engagement and outcomes. Keeping accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements will be essential, as will providing additional support to students who may need extra help to reach their full potential.

About You
For this role, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated GCSE English Teacher who is committed to supporting our young learners in achieving their academic goals. Your approach will be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with our students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive student progression. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement will be essential, as will your ability to assess and monitor student progress effectively.
